Muscat House Rutherglen
Muscat House was built early in 1953 when the old winery only a few doors away ceased to be operational and the land was subdivided. The residence is a three bedroom weatherboard cottage set on almost an acre of tranquil gardens with an ambience, character and charm all of its own.
The residence has a large fully equipped kitchen and laundry, perfect for longer stays.The dining room features a French Provincial style dining table and chairs with a metre long crystal chandelier. leather sofa and tub chairs furnish the cosy lounge room and invite you to sit back and relax. Ducted heating and air conditioning throughout the house ensures you remain comfortable throughout your stay.
The Tranquil Gardens
Behind the picket fence you will discover a tranquil native garden shaded by an immense Ash tree, interspersed with paved walkways and seating allowing you to enjoy the serenity of the front garden.
The backyard is fully fenced with 1.8m fencing ensuring the yard is private and pet safe. The garden contains lush green manicured lawn, herb and strawberry gardens, fruiting trees. The rose and iris garden is gated by an elegant wrought iron arbour and planted out with fragrant old world roses and some newer varieties.
Enjoy the seasonal fruits during your stay. Enjoy breakfast under the vine covered verandah or dine al fresco on the patio. Gaze at the stars in the night sky while sipping your Rutherglen Wine, Muscat, Port or Tokay.
